Madeline Barklay

Deputy Director

Madeline holds a Master of Psychology (Forensic) from the University of South Australia. She has been a Registered Psychologist for over fifteen years and is currently a Board Approved Supervisor with the Australian Health Practitioner’s Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Madeline has been the Deputy Director of PsychCheck since its inception in 2015. She has extensive experience in pre-employment psychological risk assessment in the child protection context. She has also provided forensic psychological assessments and reports for criminal courts in relation to offender risk and rehabilitation.

Madeline is experienced both the public and private sectors, beginning her career at the Department of Correctional Services, before working for the Courts Administration Authority, and the Department of Child Protection. She continues to consult in private practice settings providing therapy to adult clients for a range of complex mental health presentations including trauma, substance abuse, PTSD, stress, anxiety and depression.
